A definite would be to go up to Lark Pond from Bluebird Lake, and go up the north facing side of Ouzel Peak. I think this would be maximum of class two. There are no tricky moves to reach Ogalalla from this side, it's the approach from either Cony Pass or Elk Tooth that are more difficult/exposed. Just make sure you have a good weather day! .https://www.blogger.com/profile/03697781533300101343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1054703443670594402.post-15028379279803985602019-07-30T10:43:36.227-07:002019-07-30T10:43:36.227-07:00Andy, I don't know if you get notifications of...Andy, I don't know if you get notifications of new posts, but I will take a chance that you will read this. I found this post doing research for a hike up to Ogalalla Peak. My plan was to ascend to the Divide from Junco lake, but to a point further north than Cony Pass, where the saddle is lowest (Just south of Ouzel peak). Do you know if this alternate would still be a class 4? I am not a confident climber, so I would prefer to keep it at class 3 and just deal with the grueling aspect! Thanks! -DonUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05532725459862933236noreply@blogger.com
